Miramar Lake and Poway Ride

A 27-mile ride through Mira Mesa, Poway and Scripps Ranch. Most of the roads have bike lanes. For an extra five miles, you can ride the trail around Lake Miramar.

The starting and ending point is Miramar Lake Park. To reach this park by automobile, take the Miramar Rd. exit from I-15. Go east to the end of Miramar Rd. Turn right onto Scripps Ranch Blvd., left onto Scripps Lake Dr., and left again into the park.

• 0.0 miles -- Start at Miramar Reservoir. Turn right onto Scripps Lake Dr.
• 0.3 miles -- Turn right onto Scripps Ranch Blvd.
• 0.7 miles -- Turn left onto Erma Rd.
• 1.3 miles -- At the end of Erma Rd., continue on a bike path parallel to I-15.
• 2.2 miles -- Turn right onto Scripps Poway Pkwy.
• 3.4 miles -- pass Spring Canyon Neighborhood Park.
• 5.2 miles -- Turn left onto Pomerado Rd.
• 10.0 miles -- Turn right onto Stone Canyon Rd.
• 10.3 miles -- Turn left onto Del Norte.
• 10.7 miles -- Del Norte becomes Avenida Florencia.
• 11.5 miles -- Turn right onto Espola Rd.
• 11.6 miles -- Pass Valle Verde Park.
• 15.5 miles -- Turn right onto Twin Peaks Rd.
• 16.6 miles -- Turn left onto Community Rd.
• 17.6 miles -- Pass Hilleary Park.
• 18.9 miles -- Turn left onto Stowe Dr.
• 20.0 miles -- Turn right onto Scripps Poway Pkwy.
• 21.9 miles -- Turn left onto Pomerado Rd.
• 23.0 miles -- Turn left to stay on Pomerado Rd. (Spring Canyon Rd. is straight ahead.)
• 25.7 miles -- Turn right onto Scripps Ranch Blvd.
• 26.6 miles -- Turn right to stay on Scripps Ranch Blvd. (A cul-de-sac called Scripps Ranch Ct. is straight ahead.)
• 27.1 miles -- Turn right onto Scripps Lake Dr.
• 27.5 miles -- Turn left into Miramar Lake Park.
